Poultry Days is happy to share the 2025 festival artwork supporting the theme of “POULTRY MANIA”. The 2025 theme is a play on the WWE Wrestle Mania. Festival Chairman Justin Feltz said. “The theme was inspired by a past board member. I liked the idea because it allows the community and parade participants to be creative, inspired and have fun.”
The artwork was donated by Prosperity Promotions of Versailles.
This year’s theme is much more than the fun of Poultry Mania. It's Poultry Mania, Where the World';s Largest Chicken BBQ Gets the Title. The Poultry Days Board of Directors and Versailles Community will make it official. This year's festival is June 13-15.
After years of research by several board members and consulting with national record keepers, we feel confident in declaring Versailles Poultry Days is the largest chicken barbecue in the World. To verify this claim, the 74th Versailles Poultry Days festival will include formal certification of the number of dinners served by Boring, Richard & Associates, LLC. Boring, Richard and Associates is a well-established and licensed public accounting firm. Their CPA’s and professional staff will audit and confirm the number of chicken dinners served at the 2025 Poultry Days Festival.
After Boring, Richard certifies the 2025 numbers, we expect elected officials will join us in recognizing this milestone.
While the chicken order for this year’s festival has not been placed, 39,400 dinners were served last year and that number is expected to increase. Poultry Days has been barbecuing chicken for 73 years despite flood, fire or pandemic with an estimated 1.2 million dinners served since 1952. This is more significant as the village of Versailles is located in the heart of Ohio’s poultry production area which has recently been hit hard by Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza more commonly known as bird flu.

Poultry Days Inc., is a volunteer based, non-profit organization based in Versailles, Ohio which has conducted an annual festival celebrating the area’s history in the Poultry industry since 1952. The festival is held at 459 S. Center St., Versailles, Ohio, the second full weekend in June.
