Terrific Timbers

January 17, 2015
10:00am

The Timber Rattlesnake is Ohio's largest venomous snake. Timbers were historically found across much of Ohio, but viable populations have now been reduced to three general areas. Join the Darke County Parks as they welcome Doug Wynn and learn (and see UP CLOSE) these amazing rattlesnakes. Doug Wynn is a retired high school ecology teacher and has had a special interest in snakes and studying them since his undergraduate years. Doug is now presently coauthoring and editing a book on turtles, lizards and snakes of Ohio which is being funded by the Ohio Division of Wildlife and will be published by the Ohio Biological Survey, Inc.
